Beach Clean Sal – Cape Verde

Another successful beach clean with Project Biodiversity and the Camara Municipal

Cleaning the North of the Island of Sal at Fiura  beach.

Probably my 50th beach clean on the Island of Sal and the last before I head off to Scotland for a new adventure.

So much plastic and rope washing onto the island from the mainland of Africa, which has a massive impact on the environment and the wellbeing of the marine life.

We have been patrolling the beaches of Sal protecting the Logger head Turtles for 10 years as volunteers with both SOS Tortaruga and Project Biodiversity with some truly  amazing experiences  with night camps, Sunriseā€™s  nesting turtles and hatchlings starting  the journey for the new beginning  and possibly that one in a thousand that returns to Sal .

More Pictures and information to follow.
