Welcome to my Blog

This Blog looks at my past experiences on the island of Sal ,  Cape Verde  where I lived and volunteered in many wonderful project’s and was fortunate enough to enjoy the Island life.

Then we move on  and enjoy new experiences in other parts of the world  the first stop is Scotland

Catching that moment !

Cant miss that shot

Quad trips around the Island.

Having walked the Island twice ( more on that later) I can safely say I know the island backwards, so when asked to take friends on Quad tours it was great to tour parts of the island normally not available to visit.

Quads

This is Serra Negra possibly the nicest beach in Sal , but quite tricky to get to !

Serra Negra is on the East coast  of Sal  just outside the town of Santa Maria  not far from Kite Beach.

Always a quiet beach due to the location but  truly a stunning location.

Also a very popular beach for the Loggerhead turtles , possibly due to low light pollution .

Yes more to come ……….

Beach Cleans – Project Biodiversity  – Turtle conservation

Ospa and helping the stray dogs.

Castella de Sal    Children’s charity and the sponsored walk.
