Beach Cleaning in Sal with Project Biodiversity and the Camara municipal

This can be linked to a previous blog on beach cleaning  but I have incorporated some pictures of the team and volunteers.

This was the Beach clean on the north of the Island of Sal  at Fiura

With Project Biodiversity and the Camara Municipal 

 

Well done to all concerned as this was a challenging beach clean , at the tip of the north point of the Island . 

As you can see a considerable amount of plastic and rope has been washed up onto the beach. 

This is an area that is not patrolled on a regular basis only the weekly survey, but still an important nesting beach and therefore both females and hatchling have to brave the terrible conditions of the nesting beach.
